.u have to disconnect your instrument from your thoughts of music....u r a musician FIRST...and artist....movement forward IMO is measured there...yes, there are things we need to work on that are specific to our instruments, but we have to look beyond that or we risk becoming "musical technicians" or "gear hounds".....Unless you are being hired for a specific task, your instrument, style, genre or level is irrelevant...I am available later today for fights in the schoolyard....lol
